PAUT(Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing)

Principle and Method

PAUT can freely control the refraction angle and focal distance of ultrasonic waves by electrically regulating the delay time of pulses using sensors arranged with several piezoelectric elements.
Due to improvements in surface resolution and detection sensitivity, the inspection speed is fast and the geometric dead zone can be reduced.
It is efficient when applied to products with relatively complex shapes where TOFD testing is difficult, as well as general weld zone.
